It's believed that there are more people working out of their homes now than at any other time in history. And experts say it's time that the property/casualty insurance caught up with this trend.

By the numbers, the home-based economy is massive. There were roughly 7 million selfemployed people who worked out of their homes in 2004 - the most recent year for which Department of Labor data are available.
